Dinky toys was the brand name for a range of die-cast scale model vehicles produced by British toy company Meccano Ltd. They were manufactured both in in their factories in Liverpool and in France between 1934 - 1979. Dinky Toys were among the most well-known die-cast manufacturers of model cars are Mecca Ltd (Dinky Toys) Mettoy Playcraft Ltd. (Corgi Toys) and Lesney (Matchbox). Many newer manufactures are present on the market producing replicas which are often of significant lower quality and value.
Dinky Toys went bankrupt around 1980. But the brand name would change hands a few more times and is now owned by Agostini.
We concentrate on the original die-cast Dinky toys but will occasional stock some of the late brands of "Dinky Toys"
